HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria together account for nearly 6 million deaths per year and cause immeasurable suffering and damage to families, communities and economies. Out of these, about 3.1 million die of AIDS every year. At WABRI we are using bioinformatics tools to look at the HIV genome and evolution. We are also studying the mechanism of drug resistance.
