The Malaria Group at WABRI is concentrating on the analysis of data from various Plasmodium genome projects. The four species of primary interest include Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium berghei and Plasmodium yoelii. We are also interested in studying other species such as Plasmodium knowlesi and Plasmodium chabaudi. We are focusing on the mechanism of drug resistance using a comparative analysis of the genomes of drug-sensitive and drug-resistant strains of the parasites. We are
