West African Bioinformatics Research Institute

The West African Bioinformatics Research Institute (WABRI) is a non-profit research foundation established on February 27, 2003. The objectives of the Institute include the promotion of teaching and research activities in the field of bioinformatics, the development of databanks and software, organization of courses, seminars and conferences, in the West African sub-region with international collaboration.

The research groups at WABRI work on several research projects, some of which are shared among various groups or between WABRI and other bioinformatics research groups.

Our primary focus is on malaria which is endemic in the West African sub-region. Other projects include cancer genomics, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and trypanosomiasis.
